About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for an Associate Quality Inspector to join our team in Enfield, CT. This role involves verifying routine product conformance to design requirements, providing objective evidence of results, and segregating and controlling non-conforming items. The inspector will perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance. Under limited supervision, the position requires inspecting incoming parts/material, outgoing orders, verifying that certification is correct, checking parts for processing, and checking special orders, utilizing tools such as micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, and indicators daily. The role also includes providing mentorship throughout the Inspection team. Responsibilities further extend to conducting dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels, performing visual inspections for obvious defects, and reviewing and disposing of all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards, which may involve communication with vendors. The disposition and control of non-conforming products are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related work experience using of calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator.
  • Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
  • Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
  • This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
