About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is looking for an Associate Quality Inspector to join their team in Enfield, CT. This position involves verifying routine product conformance to design requirements, providing objective evidence of results, and segregating and controlling non-conforming items. The Associate Quality Inspector will perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance. Under limited supervision, the role includes inspecting incoming parts/material, outgoing orders, verifying that certification is correct, checking parts for processing and special orders, and daily use of various measurement tools such as micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, and indicators. The position also provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team, conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels, and performs visual inspections for obvious defects. Additionally, the inspector will review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards, communicating with vendors as needed, and managing the disposition and control of non-conforming products.

Requirements

2+ years of related work experience using of calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator
Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
