About The Position

The Associate Project Manager will support strategic customer projects across multiple North American manufacturing sites within Hitachi Energy’s Transformer Business Unit. Working with experienced project managers, this role helps coordinate schedules, streamline communication, and ensure successful execution of customer commitments. The position is onsite in Raleigh, North Carolina, and offers an opportunity to grow a project management career in a collaborative environment focused on integrity and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of project management experience.
• Ability to work with remote teams and manage vendors or subcontractors.
• Experience with SAP, MS Project, or other project management tools.
• Willingness to obtain Hitachi Energy APM certification within 2 years.
• Must be able to work onsite; sponsorship and international relocation are not available.

Nice To Haves

• CAPM certification preferred.
• Knowledge of transformer manufacturing or the North American energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to establish clear goals, tasks, and timelines.
• Coordinate project scope, scheduling, budgeting, and quality to meet customer expectations.
• Partner with the lead Project Manager as a primary customer contact and assist with escalations.
• Align resources across factories and service teams to support smooth project delivery.
• Maintain documentation, support risk management, and uphold compliance standards.
• Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
