The Department of Historical Studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in Transnational and/or South Asian Feminisms, with complementary expertise in Diaspora Studies. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027. The successful applicant will teach in the Department’s Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) Program and will hold a graduate appointment at the Women and Gender Studies Institute on the St. George campus. This position is being advertised concurrently with the Assistant Professor – Transnational and/or South Asian Feminisms (Req 49200); however, only one appointment will be made. To be considered for the Assistant Professor opening, you will have to apply separately to that posting. Candidates may apply to both postings. This search aligns with the University’s commitment to strategically and proactively promote diversity among our community members. Recognizing that Black, Indigenous, and other Racialized communities have experienced inequities that have developed historically and are ongoing, we strongly welcome and encourage candidates from those communities to apply.
