About The Position

St. John's University, established in 1870, is seeking an Associate Professor of Psychology specializing in quantitative methods and psychology. Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics, research methodology, and cognitive science.
Supervise, advise, and mentor students in data analysis and cognitive science classes.
Conduct research on human decision-making, emphasizing brain analysis techniques and computational approaches.
Apply research findings to mental health, education, and national security.
Stay updated on new developments and theories in statistical, methodological, and cognitive fields and incorporate them into teaching.
Provide additional instruction and tutoring to students outside of the classroom.
Serve as an advisor to students, ensuring they meet curricular goals and academic requirements.
Develop and prepare curriculum materials, including course outlines, syllabi, and instructional materials.
Collaborate with department professors to develop and improve the Psychology Department's academic program.
Potentially serve on university, college, and/or departmental committees.
Potentially represent the university in off-campus professional events and serve as a member of professional associations and learned societies.
