About The Position

Stetson University's Department of Psychology is seeking to fill two full-time, 9-month, tenure-track assistant professor positions starting in August 2027. These roles are ideal for candidates with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring within a liberal arts and sciences framework. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a productive research program that actively involves undergraduate students as collaborators. The department is particularly interested in candidates whose expertise and research interests align with developmental psychology, biological psychology, or industrial/organizational psychology, and who possess a strong background in research design and statistical analyses.

Requirements

Ph.D. in developmental psychology, biological psychology, industrial/organizational psychology, or a very closely related field by August 2027.
Evidence of effective college teaching.
Evidence of successful supervision of undergraduate student research.
Evidence of scholarship productivity.
Strong background in research design and statistical analyses.

Responsibilities

Teach five regular courses and one student-centered immersive experience per academic year.
Develop and maintain a program of excellent empirical research.
Engage diverse psychology undergraduates in research.
Begin formal faculty advising in the second year.
Fulfill service responsibilities, including committee work, to support the Department, College of Arts & Sciences, and University mission.
