About The Position

The Associate Compliance Engineer ensures that Hunter’s products are compliant with the published and required regulations. Understands the purpose, requirements, and trends of regulations, and administers compliance and certificate programs for current and future products. Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the company’s values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social Responsibility.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering preferred.
Detail oriented and organized individual focused on regulatory, quality, and reliability issues.
Must have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Requires excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interface with all levels of employees, vendors, and customers.
Must have demonstrated skills of mathematical and statistical techniques.
Must be able to travel to test sites, customer locations, suppliers, and trade shows. Position requires 10% to 20% travel to various compliance test labs.

Responsibilities

Detailed review of compliance standards and regulations and determine applicability to Hunter products.
Administers compliance and certificate programs for current and future products.
Works with certifying agencies to ensure product conformance is achieved and maintained.
Generates declarations to certify the compliance of Hunter products.
Supports Marketing/Sales in assessing existing, or designating future, certifications.
Supports various engineering groups to help develop tests that simulate actual certification testing.
Understands regulatory trends and keeps current with new regulations.
