About The Position

BakerHostetler is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Digital Assets and Data Management (DADM) Group and its Privacy and Digital Risk Class Action and Litigation Team. The associate will work with major companies across a broad range of industries and handle all aspects of privacy- and data security-related litigation, primarily class actions following data security incidents. The position is located in Los Angeles, California. The successful candidate will bring litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in privacy-related litigation and class action defense. They will understand consumer class actions, particularly Article III and Rule 12(b)(6) dismissal strategies, and will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, project management, persuasive writing and oral communication, and the ability to manage a fast-paced workload while anticipating issues. The role calls for strong interpersonal skills and a professional commitment to succeeding in a collaborative team environment. The expected annual salary range is $260,000–$420,000, with associates also eligible for a performance- and hours-based bonus program. Salary is determined by factors including experience, education and training, and relevant skills. Requirements

3–7 years of experience.
Litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in privacy-related litigation and class action defense.
Experience in privacy litigation and/or class action litigation.
Admission to practice in California.
J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school, with a strong academic record.
Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills.
Understanding of consumer class actions, with an emphasis on Article III and Rule 12(b)(6) dismissal strategies.
Effective and persuasive writing and oral communication skills.
Professional commitment and interpersonal skills to succeed in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience advising and litigating claims involving state and federal laws such as BIPA, FCRA, and FACTA.
AmLaw 100 experience.
Law review or comparable experience demonstrating significant research and writing skills.
