About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch. This frontline role builds customer relationships by supporting everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with appropriate banking products, services, and digital tools. The position supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while collaborating with branch teammates to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It offers a foundation for career growth, supported by Wells Fargo training and coaching. The role is located at the Midtown Palo Alto branch and requires Spanish/English speaking and listening proficiency. The schedule includes Saturdays.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Bilingual speaking and listening proficiency in Spanish and English.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
Must take and pass the required language assessment.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards relating to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply.

Responsibilities

Build lasting customer relationships through proactive conversations that support financial well-being and deepen engagement.
Understand customer needs through discovery conversations and connect customers with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions in accordance with compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Coordinate with branch teammates and make seamless handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash-handling and customer-banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures, and escalate and remediate issues as required.
