About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch. This frontline role builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while working with branch teammates to provide a consistent customer experience. Success requires strong relationship-building, sound judgment, and balancing service with growth. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career development and mobility. The position is based at 8675 N Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, Arizona. The schedule includes Saturdays, and the employee will flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date. Loan originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards regarding financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply.
Must comply with applicable risk and compliance requirements and make sound risk decisions.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach through calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify ways to support customer needs.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and ability to guide customers in adopting useful capabilities.
Ability to identify customer needs and connect them to appropriate solutions, including referrals when additional expertise is needed.
Proven ability to collaborate with teammates and partners to resolve needs and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to meet customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate seamless handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, supporting account openings and ongoing account service.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify, escalate, and help remediate issues.
