About The Position

Chinese Alliance Church of Westchester (CACW), a Christian and Missionary Alliance church in Port Chester, New York, is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor passionate about cultivating the life of Christ in the church and community. CACW is a Chinese- and English-speaking church with two congregations and approximately 120–150 attendees. The Associate Pastor will collaborate with pastoral staff and church leadership to help the congregation and community experience and live out the love of Christ. A central focus is overseeing and nurturing the Youth Ministry, serving a diverse group of Chinese and other youth in grades 6–12, with current attendance of 15–20. The role also supports other church ministries and community outreach, and requires licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance.

Requirements

Be a born-again Christian who believes in the infallibility of the Bible.
Be willing to abide by the doctrines and traditions of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination.
Have a passion for working with youth and in cross-cultural ministry.
Have at least a bachelor’s degree with a relevant focus, preferably from an accredited seminary, Bible college, or equivalent.
Be ready to pursue Christian and Missionary Alliance licensing; licensing is required for the position.

Fluency in Spanish to support neighborhood outreach.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Chinese and English congregational pastors, pastoral staff, and church leadership to serve the congregation and community.
Oversee and nurture the Youth Ministry.
Work with lay youth leaders to plan, coordinate, and lead weekly Youth Group gatherings and special events, including annual youth retreats, triannual CMA national youth conferences, short-term missions, and community outreach.
Teach and exemplify biblical precepts and concepts in weekly Youth Group gatherings, Youth Sunday School, Bible studies, devotionals, and occasional events.
Mentor and disciple youth members personally and spiritually.
Encourage and equip parents in their parenting, including hosting occasional youth and parent events.
Work with pastoral staff and the governing board to plan, pray, and coordinate church ministries.
Preach, with frequency depending on the candidate’s experience.
Support children’s ministry, including the annual Vacation Bible Camp.
Support church mission and evangelistic efforts, including the annual mission weekend and church picnic.
Assist with the church’s bi-weekly community food pantry in Port Chester.
Assist with the after-school program, which is currently on hiatus and has historically met weekly.
Connect and build relationships with families and youth in the local community.
