About The Position

South Bay Christian Alliance (SBCA) in Chula Vista, California, is hiring a bi-vocational Associate Pastor to work alongside the Lead Pastor in carrying out the congregation’s mission and vision. The Associate Pastor equips and cares for volunteers, nurtures ministry teams, mentors emerging leaders, and helps oversee church leaders and teams. The role includes preaching, leading and participating in Bible study and prayer meetings, discipling leaders, providing pastoral care and counseling, evangelism, and supporting the church’s global mission partnerships. It also includes assisting with outreach, events, retreats, safe-ministry practices, budgeting, and church facilities and administration. This position is approximately 20–25 hours per week and includes Sundays, one to two evenings per week, and other events as needed. Compensation is described as bi-vocational salary, housing allowance or parsonage, and independent income. The position requires licensing with The Christian & Missionary Alliance. Applicants should submit an application including a testimony, resume, and other relevant background information. Candidates should not contact the church directly.
