Associate, New Verticals - Fulfillment Strategy & Operations
About The Position
DoorDash’s New Verticals team is building and scaling customer offerings beyond restaurant delivery, including Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail. The Catalog, Fulfillment and Logistics team focuses on onboarding merchants, fulfilling orders quickly and accurately, and improving the logistics network by identifying efficiencies, building product tools, and launching operational processes at scale. The Associate will test, iterate, and scale product features and operational initiatives that help merchants fulfill orders quickly and with high quality. The role sits within the Fulfillment, Logistics & Catalog group in the New Verticals Strategy & Operations organization and is an individual-contributor position. The Associate will own metrics, use operational and product levers to drive results, develop plans to improve key metrics, and lead cross-functional work to enhance delivery quality across New Verticals.
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor’s degree.
- 1–3+ years of experience; relevant backgrounds may include consulting, strategy, operations, technology, banking, food and beverage, or high-growth startups.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to use numbers to understand problems and communicate insights.
- Comfort using Excel and visualizing data.
- Ability to solve problems from first principles and challenge established approaches.
- Comfort working at both a strategic level and in detailed operational work.

Responsibilities
- Analyze data and customer feedback to identify problems and opportunities for improvement.
- Own and deliver improvements to key business metrics.
- Create quarterly and annual plans aligned with product capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing products and improve delivery quality.
- Help lead cross-functional workstreams involving Engineers, Data Scientists, and Designers to develop product features that improve New Vertical delivery quality.
- Own products, business lines, and problems end-to-end, including ambiguous problems.
