We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Marketing Enablement Lead who is passionate about ensuring that Marketing is well-managed by default through effective governance and risk management. As an Associate Marketing Enablement Lead on the Marketing Enablement Excellence and Governance team, you will help advance Marketing by strengthening governance, campaign risk mitigation and control effectiveness, and strategic oversight of third parties — while also advancing the accessibility of Marketing assets for PNC’s clients. We are seeking a team member who is energized by the opportunity to build and strengthen Marketing’s governance capabilities and amplify their effectiveness. The ideal candidate combines critical thinking, risk awareness and knowledge of marketing processes with the ability to navigate ambiguity in order to drive outcomes. This team member needs to be highly collaborative and adaptable, and an effective communicator who can build strong partnerships across cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Risk, Accessibility, Sourcing, external vendors and the Marketing Leadership Team. You will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate and implement opportunities to strengthen Marketing governance and ways of working
  • Execute and support risk management, control ownership and monitoring activities and coordinate with Enterprise Testing Services
  • Gather, analyze and report on risk and control trends; identify systemic concerns and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Define, manage and enhance processes enabling the accessibility of Marketing assets
  • Support and optimize key governance routines, including Marketing Working Group, Marketing policies and procedures, and the Marketing exemption process
  • Support strategic oversight and onboarding of Marketing third parties and agency partners
  • Drive awareness of emerging risks through connectivity to Marketing Issues Management
  • Collaboration across Marketing, Risk, Accessibility, Sourcing, external vendors and other key stakeholders to drive Marketing governance outcomes
  • Enables coordinated planning, execution, and oversight across defined functional areas to support marketing objectives.
  • Provides structure, alignment, and direction that allow teams to operate efficiently, consistently, and in compliance with business and risk expectations.
  • Drives marketing enablement by identifying bottlenecks within marketing workflows and evaluating opportunities to improve processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Partners across Marketing to evaluate and improve existing processes and workflows to optimize efficiency, reduce processing time, and support effective execution.
  • Assesses existing processes using data analysis, metrics, and process modeling to design streamlined workflows that integrate seamlessly into day‑to‑day execution.
  • Develops deep enablement and operational expertise and a continuous improvement mindset to strengthen planning, program delivery, and adoption of improved ways of working across the organization.
  • Ensures marketing workflows, governance routines, and tools are executed in alignment with business requirements, quality standards, PNC’s risk appetite, governance expectations, and enterprise risk management framework.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and escalation point for operational issues, risk considerations, and cross‑functional coordination, supporting consistent application of controls and accountability.
  • Participates in planning, coordinating, and scheduling marketing enablement activities across Marketing teams.
  • Executes and delivers complex marketing initiatives across assigned functional areas with a focus on quality, consistency, efficiency, and risk management.
  • Independently executes and delivers marketing campaigns and activation activities across multiple channels, including 1:1, physical and sales channels, by applying operational discipline, clear standards, and scalable processes to drive consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
  • Reinforces a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence to ensure successful execution and delivery of marketing efforts across the full range of activation channels.
  • Across all functional areas, serves as a knowledgeable resource for cross‑functional coordination, decision support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Applies deep marketing enablement expertise and a continuous improvement mindset to help marketing teams effectively leverage processes, governance routines, platforms, and tools in support of business outcomes.
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and learning that enables high‑quality, consistent marketing delivery across strategy, governance, and activation activities.
  • Supports Business Owners in managing marketing technology platforms and contributes to coordination with Product Owners and Technology partners.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
