About The Position

The Associate Manager assists with the daily operation of a Lilly Pulitzer retail store, including sales, customer service, and safeguarding store assets. The role supports the Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and helps develop the team, represent the brand, manage merchandise presentation, and operate the store’s point-of-sale and inventory processes. The Associate Manager is expected to work dependably with minimal supervision and demonstrate potential for promotion to Store Manager.

Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in achieving the net sales plan and model sales behaviors that support the store sales plan.
Help build team skills as determined by the Store Manager.
Present and sell merchandise consistently with the Lilly Pulitzer brand; greet customers and provide appropriate sales assistance.
Understand planned merchandise receipts and determine how and where to stock and present new receipts on the sales floor in a timely manner.
Know floor merchandise and suggest appropriate merchandise to customers.
Provide management with merchandising suggestions that may improve sales.
Build a personal client book.
Learn and use the EREG point-of-sale system for routine register transactions, inventory receipts and transfers, and opening and closing registers and the store; troubleshoot when the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager are absent.
Understand daily staff plans and implement them in the Store Manager’s absence.
Safeguard store assets and maintain inventory integrity, including taking reasonable and appropriate steps to prevent shrink.
Assist with cycle counts and the year-end comprehensive physical inventory.
Provide daily reports of sales, transactions, and sales by style when requested.
Operate the store according to prescribed company policies and procedures.
Offer ideas to grow and improve the business, including ideas related to merchandising, staffing, floor displays, fixtures, advertising, promotions, or operating hours.
