About The Position

The Associate Maintenance Manager oversees maintenance and reliability for an assigned building or shift. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on engaging, motivating, and coaching team members. In partnership with the M&RE senior leadership team, the manager supports and delivers the facilities maintenance roadmap and sets standards for operational efficiency. The role includes oversight of automation and manufacturing equipment, electrical and refrigeration systems, building and grounds upkeep, vendor coordination, repairs, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement at the fulfillment center. The position is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience managing facilities maintenance, operations, and reliability within the food, beverage, perishables, or distribution industry.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in spending most of the time on the shop floor and working directly with staff at all levels.
• High integrity and strong ethics, with excellent follow-through.
• Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics.
• Exposure to mechanical, electrical, automation, and refrigeration systems.
• Comfort working in cold environments, including areas of the facility at 40°F.
• Effective communication with employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and/or nights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance processes for automation and manufacturing equipment, electrical and refrigeration systems, buildings, grounds, and overall facility upkeep.
• Motivate, engage, coach, and inspire technicians, fostering a positive team dynamic and encouraging feedback and change.
• Manage outside vendors and facilitate planned and unplanned repairs.
• Ensure maintenance regulations are followed.
• Maintain a current list of contractors to ensure emergency repairs are handled.
• Identify problems and develop improvement ideas for the fulfillment center.
• Partner with the M&RE senior leadership team to support and deliver the facilities maintenance roadmap.
