Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer of Social Work – School of Behavioral and Social Sciences (Continuous Recruitment)
About The Position
This is a continuous recruitment posting for Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer of Social Work within the School of Behavioral and Social Sciences at UW-Stevens Point. While there may not be an immediate need, applications are accepted to build a pool of candidates for future part-time opportunities. Successful applicants will be considered for opportunities as they arise, with hiring on a per-course basis each semester. Teaching one semester does not guarantee assignment in the following semester. Teaching loads will vary between 1-12 credits per semester. While listed as on-site, partially remote and remote opportunities may be available.
Requirements
- MSW/MSSW from a CSWE accredited program
- At least two years of post-master’s social work degree practice experience in social work
- Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Evidence of strong organization skills and effective communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience teaching at a university level
- Experience with online teaching/learning
Responsibilities
- Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
- Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
- Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
