About The Position

Simpson Strong-Tie is hiring a full-time, non-exempt Associate Inside Sales Representative in Columbus, Ohio. The role services customers by addressing customer questions and problems, processing orders, and training on company products to answer customer inquiries. The position is based in a professional office environment and normally does not require travel, although travel may occur for training. Relocation is not available. Pay is $19.38–$29.09 per hour. Employees are eligible for a quarterly bonus or commission and, if eligible, a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, MS Word, and similar computer programs.
• Demonstrate reliable and punctual attendance.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, percentages, and decimal equivalents.
• Ability to read and write simple correspondence and follow instructions.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-form instructions.
• Ability to quickly and effectively solve customer problems.
• Ability to communicate one-on-one, in small groups, and in a team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Answer queue phone calls and provide customers with requested information, including pricing and ship dates.
• Input customer orders into the computer.
• Provide technical help when able.
• Train on company products to answer customer questions.
