About The Position

Konare Law is a specialized removal defense law firm dedicated to representing noncitizens in complex immigration proceedings. We are seeking a driven, strategic, and client-focused associate attorney to join our growing practice. This role is designed as a partner-track position for an attorney who excels in courtroom advocacy, possesses a deep commitment to immigration justice, and is interested in contributing to firm growth and strategic direction. You will manage your own caseload from the outset, with comprehensive support and mentorship, and will have opportunities to cultivate referral relationships and enhance firm visibility.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar
3–5 years of hands-on experience in immigration removal defense, EOIR proceedings, or BIA appeals
Demonstrated courtroom or hearing experience in immigration removal court (EOIR), before Immigration Judges (IJ), the BIA, or federal court on removal defense matters
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills in removal defense contexts
A personal or professional commitment to serving immigrant communities facing removal proceedings
Entrepreneurial mindset

Responsibilities

Handle a docket of immigration removal defense cases from day one.
Engage in courtroom advocacy and legal analysis in removal defense proceedings.
Cultivate referral relationships.
Contribute to firm visibility.
Help shape the strategic direction of the firm's immigration removal defense litigation practice.
