About The Position

The role involves developing and implementing removal defense strategies, representing clients in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals, and managing a caseload effectively. Requirements

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to a state bar.
Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing immigration law, with a focus on removal defense.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Commitment to social justice and serving immigrant communities.
Active Texas Bar License.

Nice To Haves

Skilled in preparing legal briefs, client declarations, and conducting hearings.
Proficiency in legal case management software.
Familiarity with forms of relief such as asylum, cancellation of removal, SIJS, and VAWA.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement removal defense strategies for clients.
Represent clients in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and file legal briefs, motions, and appeals.
Stay current with changes in immigration law and regulations.
Manage caseload and meet deadlines for court appearances and filings.
Ensure transparent and accurate billing for services provided.
Additional related duties as required.
