About The Position

The Associate I, Retail Sales Floor ensures the sales floor is well stocked, organized, clean, and presentable. The role involves bringing processed clothing to the floor, merchandising products, refreshing product selection, and assisting customers with product questions and other needs. The associate is also responsible for maintaining sales-floor and restroom cleanliness, following retail and safety procedures, and meeting productivity standards. The position may require cross-training and providing backup support in other departments or areas. The schedule may vary and can include weekends, evenings, holidays, and occasional overtime.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred.
• Prior visual merchandising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed productivity standards and assigned key performance indicators.
• Price merchandise according to Goodwill standards for quality and value, using internet research or company tools and standards as appropriate.
• Keep the sales floor clean and organized by cleaning shelves and racks, picking items up from the floor, putting away products from racks, carts, or baskets, and returning unwanted items to their proper places.
• Merchandise sales-floor areas to standards, including categorizing, colorizing, and sizing products; make decisions about flexing product to improve the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
• Communicate targeted sales-floor needs to the manager on duty to assist production.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff and customers, follow the 10-foot rule, and answer product questions as needed.
• Rotate or remove old or unsold products from the sales floor in a timely manner to refresh selection.
• Identify and pull E-Commerce products from the sales floor.
• Follow retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
• Cross-train in other departments or areas and provide backup as required.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.
