About The Position

The Sales Floor Employee supports the smooth operation of the sales floor by remaining visible to customers and providing positive, friendly customer service. The employee helps maintain merchandise in different departments by assisting with receiving and stocking, and operates a cash register when needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required, or currently in progress.
Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
Basic math and computer skills.
Neat and clean appearance.
Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to help customers.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Self-starter.
Willingness to take direction when needed.
Ability to maintain composure when dealing with challenging situations.
Ability and desire to learn new skills.
Dependable attendance and job performance.
Ability to constantly move about the sales floor to arrange and stock items.
Ability to constantly operate a cash register.
Ability to lift or move items up to 10 lbs constantly, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally, with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

Greet all customers with a smile and friendly attitude.
Stock shelves, counters, and/or tables as directed.
Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise to promote sales.
Stamp, mark, or tag merchandise with assigned prices.
Maintain knowledge of the weekly ad.
Obtain merchandise requested by customers.
Answer customer questions about merchandise location, price, and use.
Clean shelves, counters, tables, aisles, fixtures, displays, and other areas.
Operate a cash register when needed.
Maintain a neat and clean workspace.
Promote Lewis initiatives and represent Lewis positively to customers and communities.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
