About The Position

The Associate I, Retail Sales Cashier provides welcoming, professional customer service, responds to customer inquiries, and assists with customer questions, concerns, and purchases. The role maintains a well-stocked, clean, and organized sales floor and point-of-sale area, and uses a computer-based point-of-sale system to process accurate transactions and verify product quality and pricing. The associate also completes opening and closing procedures, supports the company’s roundup initiative by explaining its mission to customers, follows retail and safety policies, and may cross-train or provide backup in other areas. Duties may include additional responsibilities as required.

This is a part-time position at the Leetsdale Store. Evening availability, including weekends, is required; the schedule may also include holidays and occasional overtime. The posting states that the position will be posted through 10/22/2026 and pays $20.34 per hour.

Requirements

• Be accurate with numbers and general calculations, and understand the value of different coins and U.S. currency.
• Use basic math, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine.
• Withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting for up to eight hours per day.
• Have color vision sufficient for accurate transactions.
• Work a varied schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, with occasional overtime as necessary.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of retail sales or cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify till counts, process accurate cashier transactions, and maintain a balanced cash drawer using a computer-based point-of-sale system.
• Promote the roundup initiative by engaging customers and sharing information about the mission it supports.
• Provide excellent customer service in keeping with company values, including assisting customers with questions, concerns, and purchases.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean and organized by cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up from the floor, putting away products from racks, carts, or baskets, and returning unwanted items to their proper place.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and well-stocked POS area, sales floor, and restrooms.
• Initiate customer delight/power hour calls over the intercom to organize and clean the sales floor.
• Follow retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
• Cross-train in other departments or areas and provide backup as required.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
