About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting Human Resource activities in a fast-paced manufacturing facility within Supply Chain. Key functions include employee relations, organizational development and effectiveness, recruiting and retention, positive employee relations, performance management, and continuous improvement. The position requires a competent, experienced, self-motivated individual who is organized and possesses excellent time management skills.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree
  • 2+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably within a manufacturing or supply chain environment or previous supervisory experience as a group/team lead with proven experience handling employee relations issues.
  • Must be able to address employee relations issues, identify the problem and determine the best course of action.
  • Must be able to manage multiple administrative deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees from hourly to senior management and to resolve issues within and between these workgroups.
  • Ability to juggle numerous projects and tasks simultaneously while remaining available to employees.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to client base, including performance management, recruiting, implementation and growth of high-performance teams, and employee relations.
  • Assists with establishing policies and programs that foster employee job satisfaction, high morale, and enhance the employee work experience.
  • Executes proactive communication programs and works with location management to improve employee engagement.
  • Assists with the implementation of strategies and initiatives to improve recruiting, selection, orientation, mentoring, development, and retention of talent.
  • Interprets, applies, administers, and develops Employee Policies and Procedures.
  • Works with hourly team members and leaders to resolve personnel issues and takes a leadership role in consistently administering company policies and procedures.
  • Supports employees and managers by providing knowledge of benefits, policies, procedures, and systems, typically offering initial support services with a high degree of customer satisfaction, expertise, and timeliness.
  • Assists with the facilitation and coordination of site activities with the Leadership Team to maximize resources.
  • Oversees planning and organizing of employee activities such as Company Outing, Christmas Dinner, Site Celebrations, Site Meetings – Town Halls, and Monthly Leadership meetings.
  • Administers foundational transactions and systems related to HR policies, practices, and procedures across multiple skill/knowledge areas, including the employee life cycle, compensation, benefits, leave administration, and general HR policy, procedure, or program interpretation.
  • Administers payroll support, invoicing, uniform ordering, office supply management, onboarding activities, employee records, reporting, employee engagement programs, HR systems maintenance, and other general administrative duties.
