Associate Enrollment Specialist

Strayer Education, Inc.
•$20 - $31

About The Position

The Associate Enrollment Specialist serves as a primary support and one-to-one relationship builder for Capella’s prospective students. The specialist educates prospects about online degree programs, financing, and licensure matters; clarifies key decision points and alternatives; and helps each person identify solutions aligned with their needs. The role uses a supportive, empathetic, consultative approach, extensive knowledge of complex educational offerings, and an achievement orientation to promote Capella transparently and help meet students’ needs. The specialist supports prospective students throughout the enrollment lifecycle, from initial relationship development and needs exploration through personalized recommendations, decision-making, and application. This includes asking for the business when appropriate and preparing students for long-term success. The process involves multiple interactions, sometimes over an extended period, and requires knowledge of the lead and application process and of systems and tools used to manage workflow and pipeline. The typical day involves frequent interaction with warm leads by phone, chat, social media, and email. Inquiries concern Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programs. Performance is measured using service standards such as availability, talk time, adherence to contact strategy and protocols, pipeline management, backlog, record keeping, and forecasting. The specialist uses automation tools and software applications to manage student data, participates in ongoing training, and collaborates with colleagues through team discussions, call coaching, and constructive feedback.
