About The Position

42 North Dental is hiring a part-time General Dentist in Willimantic, Connecticut. The Dentist is responsible for the complete clinical patient experience, from the initial examination and treatment plan through delivery of care. In-office specialty services include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics. The role is scheduled 2–3 days per week, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with a daily guarantee or compensation based on a percentage of collections, up to 36%. The stated annual rate is $75,000–$150,000.

Requirements

• DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (ADA CODA).
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients about oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patients’ oral health and review treatment options with patients.
• Review, maintain, and update patients’ medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor the growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone, and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
• Maintain high standards of care, ethics, and professionalism.
• Keep current with developments, technologies, best practices, and standards of care through continuing education and professional development.
