About The Position

Gentle Dental, part of DSO 42 North Dental, provides patient-focused dental care intended to make quality care accessible and reduce barriers to optimal oral health. The practice emphasizes empathy, individualized care, and the overall health and well-being of patients.

The Associate Dentist is responsible for the complete clinical patient experience, from initial examination and treatment planning through delivery of care. The established practice receives a strong flow of new patients each month and offers in-office specialty services including periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics. The role offers opportunities to shape a dental career through continuing education and professional development. Compensation is listed at $50,000–$125,000 annually, with potential to earn up to 36% of collections.

Requirements

• DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (ADA CODA).
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients about oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patients’ oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review, maintain, and update patients’ medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret X-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor the growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone, and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients.
• Maintain the highest standard of ethics and professionalism.
• Keep abreast of developments, technologies, best practices, and standards of care through continuing education and professional development.
