About the position
The Associate Data Specialist will be responsible for supporting all aspects of data management at endpoint, including data changes, verifications, transfers, and integrations. They will work independently with minimal guidance and interact with internal study teams and external end users and sponsors. The role requires drafting and executing quality SQL data scripts, managing data change requests, reviewing change requests, collaborating with clients, updating data management best practices, and verifying database lock and project archives. The position also involves addressing clinical application requests and participating in meetings with external teams. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required.
Responsibilities
- Draft and execute quality SQL data scripts and queries for production data updates and reporting
- Manage data change request aspects of the endpoint eDRS system
- Review change requests for clarity, completeness, and impact
- Collaborate with Client Services and customers to ensure database updates are made as requested
- Manage and continuously update Data Management best practices
- Review Data Management Plan Specification for quality, consistency, and feasibility
- Verify database lock, project archives, and client-related documents
- Collaborate with IT and implementation team to address Clinical application requests and/or changes to Clinical database systems
- Participate in conference calls and/or meetings with external teams as needed
- Perform other duties as required
- Provide weekend and holiday coverage as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and/or appropriate experience
- 1-2 years of relevant experience with SQL data management, preferably in the clinical trials industry

- Proven experience utilizing SQL scripts, as well as creating complex queries and stored procedures
- Advanced MS Excel expertise is preferred; SAS is a plus

- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and SQL
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented production environment
- Ability to identify and solve technical problems independently
