About the position
The Software Quality Engineer (SQ Engineer) will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions as an integral part of the SnapIoT/Labcorp Endpoint Clinical Team. They will review requirements, create test plans and cases, prioritize and coordinate testing activities, and develop and execute automation scripts. The SQ Engineer will also identify and track bugs, perform regression testing, develop testing processes, and liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements. They should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering and at least 3 years of proven work experience.
Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide feedback
- Create detailed and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open source tools
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products
- Liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software
- Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering related areas and/or appropriate experience
- 3+ years of proven work experience
