About the position
The Data Specialist will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Data Management at endpoint, including data changes, verifications, data transfers, and data integrations. They will work independently with minimal guidance and interact with internal study teams and occasionally with external end users and sponsors. The role will involve drafting and executing quality SQL data scripts and queries, managing data change requests, reviewing change requests for clarity and completeness, collaborating with clients to ensure database updates align with the original request, and continuously updating Data Management best practices. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required.
Responsibilities
- Draft and execute quality SQL data scripts and queries for production data updates and reporting
- Manage data change request aspects of the endpoint eDRS system
- Review change requests for clarity, completeness, and impact
- Collaborate with Client Services and customers to ensure database updates are made as requested
- Manage and continuously update Data Management best practices
- Review Data Management Plan Specification for quality, consistency, and feasibility
- Verify database lock, project archives, and client-related documents
- Collaborate with IT and implementation team to address Clinical application requests and/or changes to Clinical database systems
- Participate in conference calls and/or meetings with external teams as needed
- Perform other duties as required
- Provide weekend and holiday coverage as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and/or appropriate experience
- 1-2 years of relevant experience with SQL data management, preferably in the clinical trials industry
- Proven experience utilizing SQL scripts
- Ability to draft and execute quality SQL data scripts and queries for production data updates and reporting
- Experience managing data change request aspects of a database system
- Ability to review change requests for clarity, completeness, and impact
- Collaboration skills with Client Services and customers to ensure database updates are made as requested
- Knowledge and continuous updating of Data Management best practices
- Ability to review Data Management Plan Specification for quality, consistency, and feasibility
- Verification skills for database lock, project archives, and client-related documents
- Collaboration skills with IT and implementation team for Clinical application requests and changes to Clinical database systems
- Ability to participate in conference calls and meetings with external teams as needed
- Flexibility to provide weekend and holiday coverage as needed
