About the position
The Associate, Client Solutions - Professional Service Firms Client role at GLG involves supporting clients and driving GLG's business model by coordinating with the research team and fulfilling clients' primary research needs. The Associate will provide project support to the client-facing team, facilitate educational interactions between GLG Network Members and clients, work towards developing and maintaining relationships with GLG clients, program events to share industry insights, and collaborate with various teams to deliver quality services. The ideal candidate should have an interest in the financial industry, excellent communication skills, a bachelor's degree or above, and relevant work experience in client-facing or analyst roles.
Responsibilities
- Support the client facing team by providing project support on a day-to-day basis
- Facilitate educational interactions between GLG Network Members and clients to enable informed investment decisions
- Analyze client requests and build and qualify primary populations of topic experts for time-sensitive research requests
- Develop and maintain relationships with GLG clients, primarily leading investment professionals in China
- Organize and host small group live conversations with leading experts to share insights on industry trends and hot topics
- Collaborate with the Business Development team, Council Development team, Project Support team, and other research professionals to deliver quality services to clients
- Have an interest in the financial industry
- Possess excellent communication skills and fluency in written English
- Have 0-3 years of work experience in client-facing, account management, or analyst roles in relevant industries
- Demonstrate performance, business judgment, and successful track record working in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities effectively while ensuring a high level of accuracy.
Requirements
- Interest in financial industry
- Bachelor's degree, or above
- Working towards growing GLG client relationships
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in written English
- 0-3 years of work experience in client-facing, account management or analyst roles in relevant industries such as banking, business services, market research, consultancies and financial services, etc.
- Significant ongoing curiosity about trends and personalities in the project-related sector
- Demonstrated performance and business judgment
- Successful track record working in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities effectively, while ensuring a high level of accuracy
