About the position
The Associate, Council Development role at GLG involves developing and growing the GLG Councils by working closely with business and investment leaders. The associate will collaborate with client-facing staff on custom client projects and strategic recruiting efforts to connect GLG clients with relevant key opinion leaders and senior industry executives. Key responsibilities include analyzing client inquiries, identifying and qualifying primary populations, pitching prospective experts, and capturing critical data in GLG's profile management systems. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and problem solve, and 0-2 years of work experience in headhunting, recruitment, sales, business development, or partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Consult with client-facing staff to analyze client inquiries and conduct desk research to identify and qualify primary populations for consulting projects with GLG clients.
- Contact and pitch prospective experts using effective recruiting channels and techniques.
- Establish consulting relationships with experts through telephone and email.
- Understand experts' expertise and capture critical data in GLG's profile management systems.
- Develop a working knowledge of GLG's core industry coverage to improve project and product service quality.
- Develop awareness of broader industry trends and dynamics relevant to expert recruitment and client servicing.
- Work on other projects associated with building the GLG Councils.
Requirements

- Proven track record of successfully making outbound cold calls
- Ability to manage resistance in a professional manner
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks with varying degrees of complexity
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Impeccable attention to detail
- 0-2 years of work experience in head hunting/recruitment/sales/business development/partnerships
- Bachelor's degree or higher
