Associate Business Analyst

Claritas Rx
•$60,000 - $70,000•Remote

About The Position

The Associate Business Analyst is a technical executor of the Ascend platform configuration, supporting standardized, scalable client implementations across Claritas Rx’s specialty pharmacy data ecosystem. The role’s primary accountability is leading specification negotiations with specialty pharmacy and other data partners to ensure inbound and outbound file specifications align with the Ascend data model before configuration begins. This involves reviewing specifications, resolving gaps with partners, and maintaining clear records of versions and approvals while protecting implementation timelines. Working from the Configuration Blueprint produced by the Delivery Director, the Associate Business Analyst owns data mapping, platform configuration, and internal quality assurance before partner- or client-facing testing. The role determines whether data and client requests can be addressed through standard configuration or require escalation to Product or Customer Engineering. It works closely with Engagement Managers, Delivery Directors, Customer Engineering, and Customer Success, and proactively communicates blockers and capacity constraints across a multi-client portfolio. The position is primarily remote, with occasional travel requirements. Claritas Rx describes its work environment as flexible and collaborative, and emphasizes shared learning, professional development, employee empowerment, and opportunities for regional in-person gatherings.

Requirements

  • Business Analysis toolkit experience, including systems development lifecycles, problem solving, root cause analysis, and documenting business process models.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deliverables across multiple concurrent implementations or client programs.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute multiple tasks with rigorous attention to detail across a high-volume implementation portfolio.
  • Creative operational problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of data management in specialty biotech and/or operations in reimbursement call centers or specialty pharmacies.
  • Familiarity with healthcare transactional, clinical, and behavioral data sources, including specialty pharmacy patient demographics, dispense, status, and inventory files.
  • Understanding of implementation lifecycle practices, including UAT facilitation, defect triage, QA gating, and go-live readiness.
  • Ability to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies when selecting configuration methods and techniques.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Lead specification negotiations with specialty pharmacy and other data partners, aligning inbound and outbound file specifications with the Ascend data model before configuration begins.
  • Review partner specifications for completeness, field-level accuracy, and model alignment; document gaps and drive resolution directly with partners.
  • Negotiate field mappings, lists of values, file formats, and delivery cadences, escalating to the Engagement Manager when working-level alignment cannot be achieved.
  • Validate test files against finalized specifications, flag discrepancies, and maintain specification version and sign-off records.
  • Translate partner constraints into implementation decisions, distinguishing configuration solutions, specification exceptions, and matters for Customer Engineering.
  • Own data mapping, configuration tooling, business logic implementation, and front-end reporting setup based on the Delivery Director’s Configuration Blueprint.
  • Review data specifications and flag data model mismatches or gaps before configuration begins.
  • Load data into the pipeline using configuration tooling after specifications have been finalized and approved.
  • Collaborate with Customer Engineering on data-mapping handoffs for standard onboarding and provide context for custom build workstreams.
  • Conduct internal QA of configuration work before partner- or client-facing testing; ensure nothing advances to UAT without Associate Business Analyst sign-off.
  • Track and resolve configuration-related defects identified during internal QA and UAT, and perform quality control before go-live.
  • Develop and maintain QA documentation, test case frameworks, checklists, and standard UAT test-script templates.
  • Assess client requests against the standard Ascend data model and route non-standard requests to Product or Customer Engineering with business and technical context.
  • Conduct change impact analysis to assess effects of updates or non-standard requests on system performance and configuration decisions.
  • Consult with Engagement Managers on partner specifications, testing timelines, and UAT scheduling; coordinate with the Delivery Director on Configuration Blueprints.
  • Proactively report blockers, escalations, and capacity constraints to the Engagement Manager.
