The Associate Auction Coordinator represents Auction.com at live real estate auctions, traditionally held on courthouse steps. The role involves conducting, co-hosting, and participating in auctions; interacting with bidders; completing tasks and processes needed for successful auctions; and educating customers about how to participate. The territory is Fairfax, Virginia, with travel to courthouse auctions in surrounding areas as needed, potentially up to two hours away. A rental car is provided for travel outside the primary territory. Area or State managers assign daily auctions according to scheduling needs, so the schedule must be flexible and adaptable. Auctions take place Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Each auction day generally requires three to four hours of work. The position averages six to ten hours weekly, though hours fluctuate and are not guaranteed. Required in-person and Zoom training sessions, team calls, and other opportunities to develop skills may provide additional compensation. The coordinator welcomes guests, collects customer information, confirms pre-auction requirements, and shares knowledge of Auction.com programs and resources. The role requires accurate handling and entry of sensitive buyer and seller information, customer service in a fast-paced environment, and professional interaction with customers and on-site personnel. Duties may include maintaining equipment and materials, collecting information in proprietary software, completing receipts and event reports, handling funds including cash, networking, and participating in training and team calls. Attendance, quality, efficiency, and attention to detail are emphasized.
