Requirements

Be a qualified attorney with an active license in the state where the attorney will work and no disciplinary history.
Have knowledge of the civil litigation process and state and federal consumer protection laws.
Collaborate with coworkers and use shared resources and knowledge to identify high-quality solutions.
Demonstrate strong time-management skills and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to motivate colleagues to achieve results.
Have excellent written and oral communication skills for attorney and non-attorney audiences, including internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Experience in consumer collection litigation and advanced knowledge of the industry's legal and regulatory framework; the Firm states it will train.
Experience in or an interest in developing experience in the consumer collection industry.

Responsibilities

Advocate for clients in and out of court and provide practical assessments and advice during the legal collection process.
Handle all aspects of cases throughout the litigation life cycle, including travel to courts in the state as needed.
Communicate with opposing counsel and self-represented parties to resolve disputes and negotiate amicable resolutions.
Draft and review legal briefs, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Document account and file activity in accordance with Firm and client policies and procedures.
Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations, and formulate legal opinions for review by a supervising attorney.
Communicate responsively with clients to maintain and develop client relationships.
Attend continuing education classes, webinars, and seminars to stay current on changes in laws, court rules, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
