About The Position

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB) is seeking a Florida-admitted attorney with General Liability defense experience to join its General Liability Practice Group. The role focuses on defending a range of claims, including auto, premises liability, and professional lines such as medical malpractice and assisted living/long-term care. The firm represents employers, carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured clients throughout the legal process, from initial claims handling through mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal. The attorney will help move cases efficiently through the legal system and vigorously defend clients’ interests.

Requirements

Admitted to practice in Florida.
Two to four years of experience in General Liability defense.
Experience defending general liability claims, including auto, premises liability, and professional lines such as medical malpractice and assisted living/long-term care.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex legal issues.
Strong research abilities and written and oral communication skills.
Ability to draft and respond to discovery-related motions, regularly attend court appearances, take and defend depositions, and draft motions for summary judgment.

Responsibilities

Review and prepare summaries of medical records to support client advocacy.
Draft motions and attend hearings and court appearances on behalf of clients.
Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as needed.
Draft initial, interim, and pre-trial reports, and handle trial and appellate activity.
Respond to discovery requests and draft discovery-related motions.
Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
Draft motions for summary judgment.
