Associate Attorney
About The Position
Mandarich Law Group, a creditor's rights law firm with offices in California, Nevada, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, and Florida, is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Kennesaw, Georgia office. The role handles a high-volume caseload involving litigation documents, court appearances and coverage, and communications related to accounts and lawsuits. Travel may be required; the firm reimburses mileage at IRS-published rates and reimburses other approved travel expenses in the subsequent pay period after reimbursement documentation is submitted. The position requires a license to practice law in Georgia. Additional state bar admissions are welcomed. The associate should be comfortable appearing in court and consistently arriving on time using their own transportation.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia.
- Comfortable appearing in court and able to arrive on time consistently using their own transportation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for handling a high-volume caseload.
- Able to multitask.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Nice To Haves
- Additional licenses to practice law in South Carolina, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, New York, Nevada, Nebraska, Idaho, California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, or North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review summonses and complaints, judgments, settlement agreements, discovery, and related documents.
- Draft, review, and file motions and responses as needed during litigation.
- Communicate with attorneys, employers, and consumers as necessary to resolve accounts and lawsuits.
- Review new and ongoing lawsuits, pleadings, and legal documents.
- Review court calls where the associate will not appear and request appropriate court coverage, attaching necessary documents and orders for the covering attorney.
