About The Position

Messerli Kramer is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Collections Division in Cleveland, Ohio. The role focuses on consumer collection litigation and representing creditor clients throughout Ohio. The attorney will manage a caseload and conduct stringent pleading reviews as part of a team. The firm offers a flexible work environment and a collegial, professional setting, with no billable-hour requirement. The starting salary is $80,000–$90,000 per year.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, take initiative, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening before commencing employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload in a consumer collection litigation practice.
• Complete stringent pleading reviews as part of a team.
• Represent creditor clients throughout Ohio.
• Attend in-person hearings in Cleveland, Ohio.
