About The Position
Marshall Dennehey, P.C., an Am Law 200 civil defense firm with more than sixty years of service, is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Melville, New York office. The role is for an attorney with one to four years of civil litigation experience who is seeking early responsibility and meaningful exposure to complex cases, including high-exposure matters for Fortune 500 clients. The team-based, collaborative position offers meaningful client interaction and opportunities for professional development and practice growth. Working under the direction of senior attorneys, associates may take and defend depositions, draft and argue substantive motions, and litigate matters from inception to resolution. Cases may involve premises and retail liability, products liability, rideshare liability, construction defect, and commercial auto or trucking litigation. Many matters involve catastrophic losses, multiple claimants, and fatalities. Associates work closely with experienced shareholders and other attorneys through hands-on experience, continuous feedback, and individualized goal-setting. The role is designed to support development toward full case management at the attorney’s own pace. Requirements
- One to four years of civil litigation experience.
