About The Position

A well-established and rapidly growing law firm in Essex County is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its thriving real estate practice. In this role, you will represent lenders, borrowers, developers, investors, and business owners in commercial real estate transactions from start to finish. You will also draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, handle commercial financing matters, advise clients on regulatory issues, assist with business and transactional matters, work with other attorneys on complex transactions, and maintain client relationships while contributing to business development efforts.

Requirements

5+ years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions, including commercial lending and financing matters, with experience in due diligence, title and survey review, and transaction structuring.
Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial real estate and financing documents.
Familiarity with zoning, land use, permitting, and related regulatory matters is a plus.

Responsibilities

Represent lenders, borrowers, developers, investors, and business owners in commercial real estate transactions from start to finish.
Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan and financing documents, and development agreements.
Handle commercial financing matters, including acquisition, construction, bridge, and permanent financing.
Advise clients on zoning, land use, permitting, title, and related regulatory matters.
Assist with business and transactional matters involving real estate ownership, development, and investment.
Work with attorneys across practice areas on complex commercial transactions.
Maintain client relationships and contribute to business development efforts.
