About The Position
Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting a Real Estate Associate Attorney for a nationally recognized Am Law firm’s Chicago office. The role focuses on sophisticated commercial real estate matters, complex transactions, and work with developers, investors, lenders, property owners, and institutional clients. The selected attorney may handle acquisitions and dispositions, real estate finance and secured lending, commercial leasing and development, joint ventures and real estate investment transactions, due diligence, title and survey matters, transactional documentation, and closings. The position offers meaningful deal responsibility, direct client interaction, collaboration with experienced real estate attorneys, and opportunities for professional development and long-term career advancement.
Requirements
- Experience in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development, or leasing.
- Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, and other real estate agreements.
- Familiarity with real estate due diligence, title and survey review, and transaction closings.
- Experience representing developers, investors, lenders, property owners, or institutional clients.
- Strong transactional drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions and collaborate effectively with clients and deal teams.
Responsibilities
- Work on commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
- Handle real estate finance and secured lending transactions.
- Work on commercial leasing and development projects.
- Handle joint ventures and real estate investment transactions.
- Conduct or support real estate due diligence, title review, and survey matters.
- Draft and negotiate complex transactional documentation, including purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, and other real estate agreements.
- Coordinate transaction closings and collaborate with multidisciplinary deal teams.
- Interact with clients and manage sophisticated transactions.
