About The Position

Martine Law is hiring an Associate Attorney to practice both Family Law and Criminal Defense in Dallas, Texas. The role offers courtroom experience across both practice areas, supported by a collaborative team, innovative technology, operational support, mentorship, and administrative resources. The attorney will manage high-stakes family law matters from start to finish while developing expertise in criminal defense and building a long-term career with the firm.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
Strong courtroom presence and confidence in hearings, negotiations, and client advocacy.
Excellent legal writing, analytical, and case management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
Strategic thinking, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivation, accountability, and commitment to achieving outstanding client outcomes.
Desire to develop expertise in both Family Law and Criminal Defense and build a long-term career with a growing firm.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience in Family Law, Criminal Defense, or litigation; newer attorneys with strong litigation potential are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Manage family law matters end-to-end and provide legal counsel and courtroom representation.
Keep clients informed, aligned, and confident throughout their cases through proactive communication.
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and agreements accurately and efficiently.
Develop case strategies that translate complex facts into practical legal plans tailored to client objectives.
Negotiate to secure favorable settlements and outcomes.
Conduct legal research and use evolving case law to strengthen legal positions.
Represent clients in court through focused arguments, strategic cross-examinations, and advocacy under pressure.
Build client trust and maintain a strong commitment to client outcomes.
