About The Position

A fast-growing law firm in Santa Clara, California, is seeking a senior Criminal Defense Litigation Attorney to handle criminal infractions, misdemeanors, and felony cases. This is a full-time, on-site, hands-on litigation role involving courtroom appearances, motion drafting, and direct client representation across California counties. The firm focuses on criminal defense, traffic, and corporate law and emphasizes zealous, dedicated client advocacy. The schedule may adjust to court calendars, hearing dates, filing deadlines, and other case requirements; litigation demands may occasionally require work outside regular business hours. The stated case-closure goals are to close 80% of misdemeanor cases within six months of employment and felony cases within one year.

Requirements

Active California State Bar license in good standing.
Court experience in various California counties.
At least 4 years of criminal defense experience, including trial experience.
Command of California criminal procedure.
Commitment to criminal defense and client advocacy.
Excellent writing skills, strong negotiation abilities, and expert communication skills.
Flexibility to accommodate court appearances and litigation demands, which may occasionally require work outside regular business hours.

Responsibilities

Draft motions, briefs, and legal correspondence.
