About The Position

The Assistant Warehouse Manager for the hubs reports to the Warehouse Manager and assists in ensuring operations at the location run smoothly and efficiently, with deliveries completed accurately and on time. The role supports warehouse operations, employee supervision and development, inventory accuracy, vehicle and property upkeep, and administrative tasks. The Assistant Warehouse Manager is expected to uphold the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, take ownership of the warehouse, communicate with employees, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Take ownership of the warehouse and maintain pride in it.
• Ensure the right tires are delivered quickly, in a friendly manner, accurately, and on time.
• Supervise, assign work to, train, motivate, appreciate, and develop employees.
• Communicate with employees and regularly be present outside the office.
• Assist with maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of company vehicles, property, buildings, and grounds.
• Assist with recruiting, staffing, scheduling, time cards, evaluations, and safety matters.
• Manage and resolve workplace conflict using company values as a guide.
• Help oversee accurate and timely warehouse operations.
• Help keep the warehouse organized and clean.
• Help oversee delivery drivers.
• Help ensure inventory counts are accurate.
• Help ensure chart and racking changes are completed on time.
• Help maintain alternate warehouse locations.
• Complete and submit paperwork promptly, including credit card receipts, shorts, tracking reports, packing slips, invoices, cash, checks, new-hire paperwork, workers’ compensation paperwork, evaluations, and customer credits.
• Keep procedures up to date and ensure they are followed.
• Pursue strong performance and consistency and look for ways to improve.
• Be able to perform all employees’ job duties and cross-train employees.
• Provide coverage within the department when employees are absent.
• Assist others in achieving K&M Tire’s goals.
• Report issues or concerns to the supervisor.
