About The Position

The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations and maintaining efficient processes that meet customer demands. The role involves coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of products and materials; supporting safety and staff training; monitoring inventory; preparing operational reports; collaborating across departments to fulfill customer orders; and keeping the warehouse clean and organized. The position requires working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and may involve physical activity and exposure to moving mechanical parts, variable temperatures, heat, humidity, and occasional loud noise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in warehouse management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products and materials.
• Ensure warehouse activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing and implementing warehouse safety programs and procedures.
• Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped for their duties.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is replenished in a timely manner.
• Assist with preparing reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, productivity, and quality control.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
