About The Position

Chow Hound is hiring an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the daily operations of its distribution center and help ensure retail stores receive products accurately and efficiently. The role assists with shipping and receiving, inventory management, employee scheduling and training, stock rotation, and facility maintenance. It also helps oversee Warehouse Associates and the Warehouse Supervisor while promoting a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

Requirements

Ability to perform repeated lifting, pushing, and pulling of products weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily distribution center operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory, maintenance, and employee scheduling.
Support and coordinate training for new and existing warehouse employees.
Oversee Warehouse Associates and support the Warehouse Supervisor.
Process store orders and prepare accurate pick and pack lists using inventory systems.
Receive and verify incoming deliveries, checking quantities and documenting damage or discrepancies.
Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and other warehouse equipment.
Ensure products are properly stocked, organized, and rotated according to expiration and best-buy dates.
Monitor inventory accuracy and troubleshoot order errors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, including assigned housekeeping and equipment maintenance duties.
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and operational efficiency.
Communicate regularly with the Warehouse Manager, warehouse team, and other departments.
Use handheld scanners, inventory systems, computers, and email.
Perform physical warehouse duties, including repeated lifting, pushing, and pulling of products weighing up to 50 lbs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
