About The Position

The Goddard School in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, is hiring a full-time Assistant Toddler Teacher to work as part of a teaching team with a lead teacher. The role supports a safe, healthy, nurturing, and positive learning environment and helps children develop socially and emotionally. The school provides training and ongoing support from lead teachers and the director, and supports professional development, including assistance with a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and career growth toward becoming a lead teacher.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty.
• Ability to work productively without supervision.
• Empathy and compassion for young children.
• Dependability, adaptability, and willingness to work toward a common goal.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening and constructive follow-up.
• Ability to calmly and professionally handle stressful situations while multitasking.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when handling children, facilitating programs, ensuring child safety, and responding to potential emergencies.
• For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, ability to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
