About The Position

The Malvern School is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher for the Toddler classroom at its Downingtown school, Monday through Friday. The role supports implementation of the school’s Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and philosophy, helps maintain a safe, healthy, educational classroom, and communicates regularly with parents in person and through technology. The school emphasizes an innovative, child-centered curriculum, teamwork, professional development, and career advancement.

Requirements

• High school diploma and be at least 18 years of age.
• At least 2,500 documented hours of experience with young children in a licensed facility, or 15 relevant college credits (or a CDA) and at least 1,250 documented hours of experience with young children in a licensed facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and Malvern School philosophy.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class.
• Communicate regularly with parents, in person and through technology, while meeting or exceeding parent expectations.
