About The Position

Village Green Day School is seeking an Assistant Teacher to work with toddlers. The role supports implementation of age-appropriate curriculum, preparation and organization of learning materials, and supervision of children during activities, meals, and naptime to maintain a safe and positive learning environment. The Assistant Teacher helps promote children’s development and growth, monitors progress, and fosters a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The school provides a supportive environment and resources for educators, along with education incentives and career development programs. Village Green Day School is part of Endeavor Schools, an education management company with more than 100 schools in 14 states. The organization offers schools different educational styles and methods. The listed pay range is USD $17.00–$20.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Six months of prior experience working in a certified child development center; one year is preferred.
Prior experience with the assigned age group.
Meet specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation.
Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Patience, a nurturing attitude, and a sincere interest in the well-being and development of young learners.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience working in a certified child development center is preferred.
