About The Position

Columbia Academy King's Contrivance is hiring a Preschool Co-Lead Teacher. The role supports the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum, prepares and organizes learning materials, and supervises children during activities, meals, and naptime to maintain a safe, positive learning environment. The teacher helps lead learning activities that support children's development, monitors their progress, and fosters a harmonious environment for children and fellow teachers. The position offers a $500 hiring bonus and a pay range of $18.00–$21.00 per hour. The work schedule is based on business needs and must fall within the school's Monday–Friday hours of operation, 7 AM–6 PM. Columbia Academy is part of Endeavor Schools, which operates more than 100 schools in 14 states.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
MSDE Preschool 90 Hour Certification required.
At least 1 year of Early Childhood Education experience with the assigned age group.
Ability to work within the Monday–Friday, 7 AM–6 PM hours of operation; schedule is based on business needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of social, emotional, and intellectual development stages.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, jump, dance, walk, run, reach, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Patience, a nurturing attitude, and sincere interest in the well-being and development of young learners.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, but not required.
